approach: The client said that they wanted the logo to immediately send the message that the QR Center was focused on mathematics, despite also mentoring in computer science. However, they said they wanted to avoid using the generic/basic algebra symbols. I wanted to use the visual of a square root symbol coming from the leg of the R to house the "Center" underneath the bar. The client also requested that QR be expanded into "Quantitative Reasoning" if a viewer didn't know what QR stood for. Because this program is hosted on Longwood University campus, I chose to make the logo the deep Longwood Blue.
